During the manufacturing-process of sheet-bulk metal forming, three-dimensional stresses and strains occur in the material. Hence, the prediction of such a forming process by using forming limit diagrams is not possible. To regard damages and the remaining formability of the material other approaches are required.
The presentation will inform about investigated material characteristics for a numerical model suited to predict the occurring damage. To define parameters for the used model and to verify the quality of the prediction extensive investigations of the material in different stages were performed by electron microscopy.
